Festive Shoplifting.... |
||
|
During the run up to Christmas, and the buying period, we sometimes see a spike in shoplifting. Here at Staffordshire Police we often conduct shoplifting operations to deter offenders, heavily patrolling shopping areas, which we normally do on a daily basis anyway, but there are more offenders about during November and December. When doing your Christmas shopping please be on your guard for purse thieves, pickpockets, and shoplifters. Never leave gifts on the back seat of your car, put them in the boot away from prying eyes. Keep your purses safe, I regularly see people shopping with their purses on the top of an open handbag in their shopping trolley. It literally takes a second for an offender to take it. People often think, it never happen to me……but it does. During the run up to Christmas please take precautions to keep your money and gifts safe. It doesn't take much to keep things secure and safe, and it doesn't take much to steal them either. Lets help one another and make the festive season as crime free as we can.
